Delete Your Naaabaaly Account
You can request deletion of your Naaabaaly account at any time. This page explains how the process works and what happens to your data.
How to request deletion
Fastest way — through the app:
- Open the Naaabaaly app on your device
- Go to your Profile tab
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision on the dialog that appears
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email:
Send an email to: support@naaabaaly.com
Subject line: Account Deletion Request
Include: The email address associated with your Naaabaaly account
Email requests are processed within 7 business days. We may verify your identity before proceeding.
What happens when you delete your account
- Your account is scheduled for deletion immediately
- You have a 30-day recovery window — contact support if you change your mind
- After 30 days, your personal information is permanently removed
- Your login credentials are permanently disabled — you will not be able to log in as this account again
- Transaction records are retained anonymously as required for tax, legal, and dispute resolution purposes
What is deleted
- Your name and email
- Phone number and address
- Profile photo
- Your tool listings
- Payment method handles (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle)
- Notification history
- Login credentials
What is retained (anonymously)
- Completed rental transactions (7 years, for tax)
- Reviews you wrote or received
- Chat messages tied to completed rentals
- Trophy achievements
- Aggregate statistics
Why do we retain some data?
Naaabaaly is a peer-to-peer marketplace. Transaction records are retained because:
- Tax compliance: The IRS requires transaction records to be retained for 7 years
- Counterparty rights: The other person in your completed rentals has the right to see their transaction history
- Dispute resolution: If a past rental becomes disputed, we need records to resolve fairly
- Legal compliance: State and federal law require marketplaces to maintain transaction records
All retained data is anonymized — your name is replaced with "Deleted User" and all identifying information is removed. Only the transaction itself remains linkable.
Recovery within 30 days
Changed your mind? For 30 days after your deletion request, you can recover your account by contacting support@naaabaaly.com.
After 30 days, recovery is no longer possible.
